Pics from birthday and 2011

I'm now 33! I had a great birthday - starting off with eggs and toast in bed! The kids were even nice to me today & it was not a stressful teaching day. After a relaxing afternoon at home we went out to eat with Simon and Katherine Miller who are also expecting their first child this year (due in July). So this was our last outing of "four".

Here are a few pictures from my birthday dinner, as well as a couple of pics from earlier in the year while I wasn't feeling good enough to do much blogging...

Here is the first outfit we have received. It is apparently not the first one purchased, but those are in MS with my family :-)

Our group picture from dinner

A top view of my birthday cake.

Side view of the cake - it was DELICIOUS!!

Mark was not impressed that I was eating part of his dessert!

My birthday flowers.

Our North American girls' night in May.

This is Kelly, Chris, me, and Dawn. Each of us has married a South African & live here. We decided to have a "free the captives" weekend where we went to Kelly's house while her husband, Chris, was out of town. We watched the royal wedding, went out to dinner, and had A&W root beer floats for dessert. Dawn had found out that she is pregnant with their third child earlier that week :-)

Apparently non-alcoholic grape juice also bubbles over!

Girls' Cricket

Me and Alison - she was the captain of our Girls' Cricket team this year and was lovely to be around!

Here is Hannah - my partner-in-crime, my confidante, my friend who also loves Dr Pepper. She lived in New York for a year being an au paire after she finished high school. We have lots of fun together!

Baby Becking

Okay, so I have decided that I cannot just post about BB on facebook. He needs to be out there for the blogging world, too. Yes, we are 16 weeks pregnant with a baby boy on the way. Due date is October 15 - which is coming upon us much faster than we like to admit. Sorry that the spacing is so big - Can't figure out how to change it -tried a few times!!

Pictures from the 12 week scan

Starts off looking like something - not sure what, but there is a form there!

In this one you can definitely see the nose!!

7 cm from head to bottom.

You can see BB waving at us :-)

Our first 3D pictures of our baby.

Lounging with his hand under his head.

Looking a bit more squished.

He's waving at us again :-)

We can't wait for this new chapter in our lives to begin, and we appreciate any and all prayers that are sent our way. Love to everyone!!

March & April

This was my main project during the March holidays - Mark's office. Everything in these pictures was in Mark's office...most of it is now at the dump!
Our friends, Dale & Tammy, had a baby - Logan. They came over for lunch a few weeks later & I got to hold Logan :-)

Mark's mom got us a kennel for Ginger for part of our combined birthday present. All of us girls fit it - not too comfortably, but we DID fit!

After all the rain on Friday night, puppy training had a cool twist - "let's see how the puppies do with water". Of course Ginger & Meg LOVED it!

Meg shows no fear of the kennel. While Ginger isn't too sure.

How they sleep at night - so one can be in the kennel & the other can be in the kitchen, but both can still move around.
Our project for the long weekend - cleaning the carpets! Mark did most of the work - wonderful hubby!
One of the worst spots - before.... and after. (have to love it when dogs pee inside)
How Ginger & Meg busied themselves while they were kicked out.
The girls wore themselves out.
We gave them rawhide bones to occupy themselves while they are inside.
