Today was a South African National Holiday - now known as National Braai Day. So we joined in the festivities and had 34 people come over for a braai at the pool area in our complex. It was a beautiful day - couldn't have asked for any better. Some of the guys even found their way into the swimming pool.
The calm before the storm...
Standing around having a good time....
Just hanging around the pool....
Then it happens...
Next to go in... Jason
...with Mark as well!
Final toss... Simon Oosthuizen
Along with Chris and Michael...
Simon is SUCH a good sport!

Zeal
Just a quick glance into the Bible Study we help with on Monday nights. Tonight we had a social evening (aka pizza, fellowship, singing, zip-bong, "ping" moments). Enjoy. Hope everyone has an awesome week. Love to all...

Best Wishes!!
This is just a quick post to wish Stacy and Justin all the happiness in the world! They got married today in Pensacola, FL. We wish we could have been there, but I hope they could feel all the love and best wishes floating their way across the Atlantic. We love you both and are SO happy for you!!!
Dayne's 21st
One of our friends turned 21 on Wednesday, but had his party tonight. It was quite warm yesterday, then moderately warm today, but leaving the house tonight, even Mark put on a jacket. He was still in shorts and flip flops, but he did have on a jacket. We had lots of fun. Here are a few photos from the party...

High School Musical
Yesterday was Mama's birthday. It is very strange and sad not to be able to be at home during events like this. They went to Cock of the Walk on Sunday night for her birthday supper...Just thinking about it makes my mouth water - greens, onion rings, fried dill pickles, cole slaw, cornbread, pickled onions, mmmmmmmmmmmm. Oh well. We'll have to go next time we're in Jackson - unfortunately not sure yet when that will be....
Well, the theater in South Africa is putting on High School Musical. They are kind of doing an "Idols" thing where people tried out and each week 1 boy and 1 girl are voted off. Well one of the 12th graders, Carmen Pretorius, has decided to put school on hold for now and has made it to the top 4! It's quite cool. She was the lead in "Hello Dolly" this year at school. She had light brown/blondish hair, but has dyed it dark dark brown since if she wins, she'll play the role of Gabriella. She's going to come to school tomorrow with a tv crew and sing for the student body and sign autographs and stuff. It'll be fun...plus we get to miss part of school :-)
Not much else is going on. Mark got a new client yesterday which we are very excited about. It is a company that he has done some work for in the past which has a really nice owner. Okay, gotta go to an assembly about tomorrow. Love to everyone reading my blog!!
